Pacific Coast Family Medicine offers patient-focused Concierge Family Medicine, Hormone Optimization, Sports Medicine and cash pay As Needed Care. We make it easy to manage your health and get the medical attention you need.
Our monthly and yearly Concierge subscription plans provide complete family medicine services and access to premium services such as priority scheduling, enhanced communications by text and email, online appointments, home appointments and more. The subscription and fee is tailored to you and your family's needs and is billed monthly or yearly (no insurance pay). The subscription fee is in addition to fees for visits and services that may be billed to insurance. This helps provide you with access to the doctor and services unheard of with traditional medical practices.
Our specialty Hormone Optimization and Sports Medicine services can be incorporated in your subscription plan or as a separate a la carte service. Without a subscription, doctor visits are cash pay. Other services may be billed to insurance.
We also provide As Needed Care as a cash pay service. Payment for doctor visit is due at the time of service. Some services may be available to be billed to insurance. We do not accept insurance only patients.
Founder Dr. Kathryn Schat, MD has over 25 years’ experience in private practice, as a hospitalist and in service with the US Air Force. She has worked in many different and demanding venues over the course of her career and has operated a traditional private practice in the past. With a traditional medical practice doctors are forced to see as many patients as possible for as little time as possible and insurance only billing is burdensome and challenging. Concierge medicine changes everything and provides enhances services and access to the doctor.
Hormone Optimization is an area we’ve been interested in for some time not only for general medical reasons but also to maintain our body, health and vitality especially as we age. As well as traditional approaches, we are a certified provider of Biote Hormone Therapy, which I find superior and may have less side effects. When our hormones are optimized and balanced correctly, we have the opportunity to function more at our full potential.
Dr Schat offers a unique perspective to Sports Medicine and understands how to tailor your immediate and long-term care depending on the sport, dance or other activity you’re involved in. While working with you to strengthen your health and physical abilities, we can help balance your nutrition and muscular structure and also treat your injuries along the way. We also specialize in high altitude and scuba medicines. We understand how to keep you in the game and how to get you back in action fast.
